Urban Poverty

BDI has launched this research in light of the fact that urban poverty is on the rise in Bangladesh despite significant success in overall poverty reduction in the past decades. The program aims to shed light on the interaction between urban poverty and its variables. The organization has held discussions with a number of experts (urban sociologists and town planners), development NGOs and community based organizations, and coalitions of the urban poor, to develop a strategic plan to address urban poverty.
