BDI is a convening platform for a diverse range of actors. Various groups and organizations feel a sense of ownership over the Institute and actively engage in the autonomous space that the institute provides. BDI has developed partnerships with:

• Institute of Development Studies, University of Sussex, UK

• The Brooks World Poverty Institute, University of Manchester, UK
• The Blum Center, University of California, Berkeley
• Earth Institute, Columbia University, New York, USA

BDI is also discussing partnerships with institutes and networks in India, Pakistan and South Africa. Different institutions in the South are being approached. In addition, BDI collaborates with various institutions in Bangladesh on different projects. For example, - the annual “State of Microfinance” with Palli Karma Shahayak Foundation (PKSF).

We are building South-South partnerships which include national as well as international ones. Potential international partnerships are:

• Universityof Ghana
• NEIM, Brazil
