This research aims to communicate the urgency of the food, fuel and financial crises impact in Bangladesh to policymakers and a global audience at the G20 meeting. The Institute of Development Studies (IDS) designed this pilot qualitative research with the aim to generate rapid, responsive research outputs that can speak to policy debates in this early part of the crisis. BDI's work provides the qualitative research carried out in Bangladesh, which is one of the five strategically selected developing countries in IDS' overall research. The other countries are Indonesia, Jamaica, Kenya and Zambia.
